Latin America is emptying their jails, prisons, and mental institutions into the United States, taking advantage of the open border.
Here's what we need to do:
- Enforcement and Security: This includes stronger enforcement measures at the borders and internally that deports illegals wherever found. Furthermore, anyone who acts with violence against police officers should face the strictest of penalties allowable by law to maintain order and safety.
- Limited and Skilled Immigration: I believe in a very limited number of immigrants per year, with a strict cap to control the influx. Those selected should be skilled immigrants who can positively contribute to our economy.
- Opposition to Federal Overreach: I oppose federal overreach into state immigration policies. States should have the authority to enact and enforce immigration laws that best suit their local needs and circumstances. This approach respects state sovereignty and allows for more tailored and effective immigration solutions.
- Disbarment from Voting: I believe that immigrants who cross illegally should forever be disbarred from voting. This measure ensures that those who violate our immigration laws do not gain access to the democratic process intended for lawful citizens.
I will bring these policies to Wisconsin.
