Support for Transition to Civilian Life: I support initiatives that facilitate the transition from military to civilian life, such as job training and placement services. These programs are essential for helping veterans integrate successfully into civilian society.
Active Involvement in Veteran Organizations: My commitment to veterans is evident through my roles as Chaplain at American Legion Post #19 and my active participation in the Hartford Veteran Honor Guard. These positions allow me to directly support and advocate for veterans in my community.
Property Tax Freeze for Veterans: I believe that property taxes for veterans should be frozen when they reach age 65, as they will be on a fixed income after that. This measure will provide financial stability and peace of mind for our senior veterans.
State-Level Veterans Committee: I intend to join the Veterans Committee at the state level to directly impact and implement these changes, ensuring that the needs of our veterans are effectively addressed.
